When your home suffers damage and you contact your insurance, the company will send an adjuster to assess the damage to the property.
Eventually, you will receive a check from your insurance. What happens if you find damage that was not discovered initially? Well, you can reopen your claim. Just make sure that you file the claim within a year of the loss.
