Burst pipes are a big source of many #insurance claims.

The coverage for burst pipes or escape of water varies from policy to policy. A burst pipe can result in three different types of costs: the cost of locating the leak, the cost of repairing the pipe, and the cost of water damage caused by the leak. If you have a burst pipe, then you should turn off the water immediately. You may also need to call a plumber or a water damage company as well as your insurance provider.
